Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) is launching a new do-it-yourself deal feature. Groupon is calling this feature a “build-your-own-deal tool for merchants.” This is a way to automate deal creation, which could make things more efficient at the company.
Deal Builder is expected to serve merchants that are outside major metro areas where they do not have much of a sales team. The Deal Builder is now available for “almost all local businesses, including health and beauty, service-oriented and activities-based businesses.” The food and beverage merchants will support this feature later in 2014.
