Groupon (GRPN) Gets Into The Coupon Game With “Freebies”

Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) is launching a new coupons service known as “Freebies” and over 5,500 brands are participating in it.  Groupon is evolving from a flash deal website to a full-scaled e-commerce brand. 

Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) is now offering national brand promotion codes and coupons that do not require an upfront purchase.  Partners like Best Buy, Toys R Us, Reebok, Nordstrom, and Sephora are signed up to work with Groupon. 

Groupon Freebies are currently available in the U.S. only, but it will be hitting international markets next year. One of Groupon’s largest rivals in this new service is RetailMeNot.com.  Groupon will earn a commission through Freebies when the offer is redeemed.
