Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys Recorded A Google Street View Themed Music Video

Posted Apr 1, 2013

Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys have created a music video with a Google Street View theme.  The six-person band has a friend that supposedly had access to a Google Street View car so they used it for the “Could Be Me” music video.  In the video, the Grizzly Boys and their friends are driving down a snowy road in Michigan on the back of three pick-up trucks.  In the video, the camera focus fades in and out in a similar style that is used when browsing photos on a Google Street View map.  One of the truck riders is holding up a sign that changes every time there is a zoom to follow along with the lyrics.

“To protect our friends at Google who bent the rules to make this video possible (and their jobs), we can’t disclose when and where this was filmed,” said Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys on the video’s page.  Some YouTube commenters are speculating that it was not actually a car with a camera in it and not necessarily a Google car.

Aside from being a band member, Gunnar Nybald helps with the family apple and plum orchards.  He writes the band songs from the seat of a tractor.  The band is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
