Global Women?s Empowerment Network (GWEN) has created the first branded safety mobile Application for victims of abuse, which allows users to send alerts using a GPS tracker for emergency support.

?Millions of women and men are victims of domestic abuse each year. GWEN ALERT puts control back into victims? hands, providing a real tool to those in abusive relationships. This revolutionary new mobile app will save lives, as well as give peace of mind.? stated GWEN co-founder Tess Cacciatore.

GWEN ALERT has an emergency button to use in times of distress that allows you to discretely send out a preset text message with up to five pre-programmed contacts (GWEN FIVE).  By pushing the button, authorities will be notified of your location using GPS technology.

GWEN ALERT can be downloaded free on the Apple App Store.  An Android version of the application is coming soon.
