Handybook has raised $30 million in Series B funding led by Revolution Growth, the venture capital firm co-founded by Steve Case. Based in New York, Handybook makes it easier to schedule cleaners, plumbers, carpenters, etc.

Handybook has now raised a total of $49 million since launching in 2012. Previous investors General Catalyst Partners and Highland Capital Partners also participated in this round. Handybook now has around 150 employees and is available in 26 cities.

Handybook plans to use the funding to expand to more cities at a rapid pace. Handybook was founded by Oisin Hanrahan, Umang Dua, Ignacio Leonhardt, and Weina Scott. In February 2012, Oisin Hanrahan posted on the Harvard mailing list looking for a technical co-founder for a company he and Umang wanted to launch. Scott replied and partnered with him, Umang, and Ignacio to help build the company. All of them spent the summer at Highland’s offices to build the company. Leonhardt and Oisin were classmates at the London School Economics.
