Hasbro Now Has A Version That Can Be Played Under Less Than 30 Minutes

Hasbro’s Monopoly is a classic board game that can take hours to finish.  My family generally got into trading properties with each other, especially when it came down to houses and hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place.  This is likely one of the biggest reasons why people complained about Monopoly.  Now Hasbro has created a version of the game that only takes around 30 minutes to finish.  This version is called Monopoly Empire.

The new version of Monopoly uses a “first-past-the-post” system.  This means that a player can win simply by collecting a certain number of assets rather than making another player go bankrupt to the point where they have no assets or money left.

Jonathan Berkowitz, the VP of marketing at Hasbro, said that this new version of Monopoly was created based on feedback received from parents and children.  According to UberGizmo, they wanted a “quick in-and-out, frictionless gaming experience.”
