users advised to change passwords due to Heartbleed bug

The users of are recommended to change their passwords due to the Heartbleed Internet security bug. There was no indication that the website was compromised and this action is only due to an abudance of caution.

“ uses many layers of protections to secure your information,” stated a message on the website on Saturday. “While there?s no indication that any personal information has ever been at risk, we have taken steps to address Heartbleed issues and reset consumers? passwords out of an abundance of caution.”

The Heartbleed security bug caused concern for several tech companies that runs large websites including Facebook, Twitter, and Yahoo! The issues have been mostly fixed since the bug was first reported though. The bug affected a widely used encryption tool to protect accounts from getting hacked called OpenSSL.

The website was targeted by critics of the Affordable Care Act since it launched with flaws and bugs. President Obama announced this week that 8 million people enrolled in the insurance plans.
