Henrique De Castro is Yahoo!’s ousted chief operating officer that is known for having a very favorable severance package. He ended up making around $57.96 million for 15 months of work, according to an SEC filing.
This amount includes $12.12 million at hiring and $31.18 million in employment termination, largely due to an increase in share prices. Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer showed De Castro the door in January after he worked at the company for 15 months.
The real and transparent reason why De Castro was fired is unknown so I assume that he did not get along with Mayer’s management style.
