How Alexander Welch Was Arrested For Using An App

Alexander Welch is a 20 year old kid that lives in Boise, Idaho. He downloaded an application on his smartphone that emulates the police blue and red light flashes. He used this app to pull a car over as a prank, not knowing whether it would work. The car pulled over and Welch drove away from the scene.

The driver of the car called the police to let them know about the prank that took place. Welch was quickly arrested. Unlawful exercise of the function of peace officers is punishable for up to 5 years in prison. Think before you use apps for illegal purposes. This one is going in the Hall of Shame.
