Hewlett Packard has announced the 14-inch Envy m4 laptop, which has an aluminum design, Beats Audio, and a subwoofer built-in. The Envy m4 has a Core i3 and i5 processors, up to 8GM RAM, and either a solid-state drive or up to 1TB of HDD storage. The display resolution is set at 1,366 x 768. The laptop has Intel Wireless Display and the batter has up to 8 hours of runtime. The laptop has a fingerprint reader to use HP’s SimplePass technology to log in to the computer.
HP also added to new Sleekbooks (thin-and-light laptops) to their Pavilion line of laptops. The Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and 15 laptops will be offered in black and red and has Ivy Bridge chips. They also have optional discrete graphics, 1080p displays, 8GB RAM, and up to 1TB of HDD storage. The battery life is said to hit a max of around 6 hours.
The Envy m4 starts at $900 and the Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and 15 will sell for $500 and $560, respectively. These laptops are arriving on October 26th, the day that Windows 8 launches.
