Hewlett Packard has announced a new convertible Android SlateBook x2 tablet / laptop. The SlateBook x2 was expected to arrive later this month, but it was made available today instead.
According to CNET, the x2 tablet is listed as the HP SlateBook 10-h010nr x2 under the “PC” section even though it uses Android Jelly Bean instead of Windows 8. Some of the specs includes a 10.1-inch display, a 1920×1200 pixel resolution (224 ppi), a Tegra 4 quad-core processor, a 16GB SATA solid state drive, 2GB of system memory, WiFi, Bluetooth, a full-size keyboard, and a magnetic mechanism to switch from tablet to laptop mode.
The SlateBook x2 retails for $480.
