HTC Announces Android-Powered Desire HD and Desire Z Smartphones

HTC scheduled a press conference to announce two new Android-powered smartphones. They announced the Desire HD and the Desire Z mobile phones.

The Desire HD has a 4.3-inch screen, run on Android 2.2, and is powered by the 1GHz 8255 Snapdragon processor. The Desire HD has an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p video recording. Other specs include Wi-Fi b/g/n, HSAP+ radio, and is loaded with the Sense UI.

The Desire Z has an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor, 3.7-inch display, and full QWERTY keyboard. The Z has an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, 720p video recording, Wi-Fi b/g/n, HSAP+ radio, and the Sense UI. Both the Z and the HD will be on shelves in October.
