HTC has announced their Q2 2013 financial results. The company saw their profits rise by a small amount in the past three months. For the past quarter, the company posted profits of NT$1.25 billion ($41.72 million). For Q1 the company posted NT$850 million ($28.40 million), which means that they saw a rise in operating profit. The company reported revenues of NT$70.7 billion ($2.37 billion). In the previous quarter, HTC reported revenues of NT$42.8 billion.
The HTC One and HTC One Mini helped drive sales for the company. But the new smartphones will not help the company from making a loss. HTC’s operating margins for Q3 is expected to be 0% to -8%. Revenues are forecasted at between NT$50 billion and NT$60 billion, which means that the company is going to run at a loss for the period.
“The new HTC One has performed well in the market, better than that of our hero products for the same period last year,” stated HTC in their financials. “We aim to extend the momentum as we enter into the second half of 2013. The new HTC One has also helped the company establish strong brand awareness and received numerous accolades as the world?s best smart phone.
