HTC has posted their second quarter results.  The company missed analyst estimates and the HTC One seemed to have missed sales projections.  HTC saw their second quarter profit drop to NT$1.25 billion ($42 million) for the three months ended in June.  This is down from 83% from a year earlier and analysts were expecting NT$2.17 billion.

Revenue for the second quarter fell to NT$70.7 billion ($2.36 billion).  Analysts were expecting NT$72.8 billion and the company was forecasting sales of NT$70 billion.

HTC launched the HTC One in April, but that was around the same time that Samsung released the Galaxy S4.  The company was supposed to release the HTC One in February, but they dealt with camera component shortages.  According to Bloomberg, HTC is now in ninth place for global rankings and is behind Chinese companies like ZTE Corporation and Huawei Technologies.
