HTC has announced the Windows Phone 8S and Windows Phone 8X today. Let’s just get right into it as the specs are all below:
The four-inch Windows Phone 8S ships with HSPA and there currently isn’t any news on whether it will have an LTE edition. The WVGA screen has Gorilla Glass and Super LCD technology. The device has a dual-core S4 clocked at 1GHz and it has 512MB of RAM. Storage is at 4GB and there is a microSD slot for expansion. Oddly enough, the Windows Phone 8S does not have a front-facing camera, but it has a 5-megapixel camera on the back with 720p video capture. The HTC Windows Phone 8X has a 4.3-inch 1280×720 Super LCD 2 display with Gorilla Glass 2 coating. It has a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM. The storage in the phone is at 16GB. The Windows Phone 8X has WiFi, NFC, 1,800mAh Li-ion battery, and quad-band radio support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE, HSPA/WCDMA (850, 900, 1900, 2100MHz). The audio is powered by Beats Audio and it has a built-in amplifier. There is an ImageChip for continuous shooting. In terms of shooting, there is a dual-camera with 2.1-megapixel with 88-degree ultra-wide-angle lens in the front and an 8-megapixel with an f/2.0 lens with a single LED flash on the rear. Both are capable of capture video at 1080p. The phone is available in four colors (Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow) and will be available this November across 150 carriers worldwide.

For the first time, HTC is introducing a 2.1mp, f/2.0 aperture, 88° ultra-wide angle front-facing camera that allows up to four people and more to be captured at once. It also supports 1080p video capture. The rear camera sports an 8mp CMOS sensor with backside-illumination (BSI) for improved low-light performance, along with an f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens and a dedicated imaging chip. A physical shutter button makes it quick and easy to capture spontaneous action, even if the phone is locked.
