Chinese telecommunications manufacturing company Huawei has announced earlier this week that they have given up on the U.S. market. This follows news that the company is being investigated as a risk to national security.
?We are not interested in the US market anymore,? stated Huawei EVP Eric Xu at the company?s annual analyst summit on Tuesday, according to the Financial Times. Even last month, Sprint and SoftBank said that they will limit the use of Huawei’s devices.
?Don?t get me wrong, I?d love to get into the US market,? stated Huawei’s CTO Li Sanqi in an interview with IDG. ?We today face reality. We will focus on the rest of the world, which is reasonably big enough and is growing significantly.?
