Hulu reportedly blocking VPN users

People often use virtual private networks (VPNs) to conceal his or her identity while using the Internet. However, video content website Hulu has decided to block anyone attempting to use their site through a VPN.

Hulu is doing this because a large number of people outside of the country have allegedly been using them to connect to the video website using a United States I.P. address. This also impacts U.S. based Internet users that have VPNs to maintain privacy.

?Based on your IP-address, we noticed that you are trying to access Hulu through an anonymous proxy tool. Hulu is not currently available outside the U.S. If you?re in the U.S. you?ll need to disable your anonymizer to access videos on Hulu,? states an error message when accessing Hulu through a VPN:

TorGuard, a VPN service provider, has already built a workaround once all of their IP addresses are blocked by Hulu. ?In the event of wide-spread IP blocking a quick fix for the problem is to use a dedicated VPN IP. This ensures that no other user on the network has registered an account under that same IP address,? said TorGuard CEO Ben Van Pelt in an interview with TorrentFreak.
