HyTrust is a startup that has raised $18.5 million in a third round of funding. HyTrust gives IT managers and administrators of virtual infrastructure a single point of control for hypervisor configuration, compliance, and access management. It gives them a comprehensive solution for virtual infrastructure as well.
The virtual appliance is installed right on the hypervisor. HyTrust monitors all of the traffic on your systems and can tell if your physical hardware has been tamped with, according to VentureBeat. HyTrust also closely watches your traffic.
Investors in this round include along with Granite Ventures, Cisco Systems, Trident Capital, Epic Ventures, VMWare, and In-Q-Tel (the CIA).
