At CES Hyundai has announced a new system called Blue Link, which is the Korean car company’s answer to GM’s OnStar and the Ford SYNC. Blue Link will have a three-tiered plan which are called Blue Link Assurance, Blue Link Essentials, and Blue Link Guidances.
Blue Link Assurance has automatic crash notifications, an SOS button, and roadside assistance. Blue Link Essentials has vehicle location sharing (e-mail/SMS/Facebook), speech-to-text capabilities, remote features, valet-alert, geofencing, and speed-alert functionalities. Blue Link Guidance has a GPS and voice-based POI search. Blue Link will be included in all 2012 Hyundai Sonata and Veloster cars.
