International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) has announced that it has acquired cloud marketing company Silverpop. Silverpop provides marketers with insight about customer activity online.
Silverpop is a cloud-based marketing personalization tool that gives users a way to understand their customers by offering personalized experiences on what they know.
IBM believes that the acquisition will give them the ability to add personalization to their portfolio of over 100 software-as-a-service offerings.
