iChange Car By Rinspeed Uses An iPhone As The Ignition

Posted Mar 2, 2009

The iChange concept car uses an iPhone as the ignition to start and stop the car. It is a concept car created by Rinspeed in Switzerland. The car uses a 3D navigation system to calculate eco-friendly routs. The car has a 150 kilowatt Siemens electric motor and can go from 0-62MPH in 4.2 seconds. Looks like it can fit about 3 people in it. It is highly unlikely that this car will be available for purchase to consumers.

The iPhone also controls the turning signals, blinkers, high-beams, and music for the car. Harmon/Kardon speakers are built-in.
