IMI.VC is a startup investment company that is based in Moscow, Russia. The company has raised $75 million in funding. This round of funding was provided Michael Vinchel, the co-founder of Mail.ru Group. Mail.ru is a popular Russian e-mail service that is associated with Digital Sky Technologies. Vinchel will be on the IMI.VC board of directors and Mail.ru co-founder and partner Gregory Finger is the chairman of the company.
IMI.vc was founded last year by Igor Matsanyuk. Mr. Matsanyuk was a former vice president at Mail.ru. IMI is short for In Mobile Investment. The fund will focus primarily on mobile investments. The company has made 36 investments in gaming companies thus far including Game Insight, NARR8, and Farminers.
