Incredible Story About How The Reddit Community Helps This Homeless Ohio Man Get A Job [VIDEO]

There’s a reason why I think the Reddit community has more of a valuable community than the Digg community. The Reddit community helped a local Ann Arbor toy store raise funding for a young girl with a genetic condition. Now the Reddit community has helped a homeless man in Columbus, Ohio get a job. Ted Williams stands at a corner and holds up a sign that says “I have a God given gift of voice. I’m an ex-radio announcer who has fallen hard times. Please! any help will be greatly appreciated.”

After watching this video, the Reddit community in Columbus, Ohio worked on ways for Ted to get a job back. Ted appeared on The Morning Zoo radio show within 8 hours of the video being posted on Reddit. Other Reddit members have offered help to get his career back on track through donations, a cellphone, a business suit, and even a website.

It turns out Williams has been hired by the Cleveland Cavaliers. “This has been totally, totally amazing,” said Williams. “I’m just so thankful. I’m getting a second chance. Amazing.”
