Intellectual Ventures Suing 9 Tech Firms Over Patents

Bellevue, Washington based business invention company Intellectual Ventures is suing 9 tech companies over patent infringement. This is the first time that Intellectual Ventures is suing for patent infringement.

Intellectual Ventures had filed three different lawsuits related to software security, DRAM, and Flash memory. The lawsuits were filed against Check Point Software Technologies, McAfee, Symantec, Elpida Memory, Trend Micro, Altera, Lattice Semiconductor, Microsemi, and Hynix Semiconductor.

?Over the years, Intellectual Ventures has successfully negotiated license agreements with some of the top technology companies in the world. However, some companies have chosen to ignore our requests for good faith negotiations and discussions,? stated Intellectual Ventures Chief Litigation Counsel Melissa Finocchio.
