Last year, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced iOS in the Car around the same time that iOS 7 launched. iOS in the Car will enable automotive manufacturing companies to integrate iOS features into infotainment systems. Apple said that iOS in the Car was “coming in 2014.”
According to The Financial Times, three automotive companies are going to show their first new vehicles that are equipped with iOS in the Car next week: Ferrari, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz. The unveil is expected to take place at the Geneva Motor Show.
iOS in the Car functionality includes Apple Maps, music, videos, Siri, voice calls, and text dictation.
