iWatt Files For IPO

IWatt Inc. is a company that makes power management chips that are used in Apple products. The company has filed for a $75 million initial public offering of its common stock. They plan to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol “IWAT.” The company filed a preliminary prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing did not reveal how many shares the company plans to sell or their expected price. IWatt is considered an “emerging growth company” under the U.S. JOBS Act. They are backed by Vantage Point Capital Partners, Sigma Partners, and Horizon Partners, and several other investors. iWatt has shipped over 1 billion power management integrated circuits (IC) since 2007, including over 400 million in 2011. Deutsche Bank Securities and Barclays will be the lead underwriters for the IPO.
