Jama Software is a Portland, Oregon based company that was founded in 2007.  The Jama Product Delivery Platform is a web-based application that helps companies conceive, build, and deliver complex products.  Jama Software has raised $13 million in Series B funding led by Trinity Ventures with participation from Madrona Venture Group.  Jama Software will be using the funding to double down on their SaaS-based approach for product management and delivery.  The company will also expand in Europe and Asia and develop deeper integrations with developer tools.

Jama Software has over 600 customers, including many in the Fortune 100 list.  Trinity Ventures general partner Karan Mehandru is joining the Jama board of directors.  Jama’s SaaS software can connect business stakeholders with product-development teams so that everyone can be held accountable in the process of releasing products.  The software also helps companies cut development costs.

“The demand we see for faster and cheaper ways to deliver products to market speaks to the growing complexity of today’s software applications, smart products and IT systems. With the requirements, decisions and other details ranging in the thousands to millions within these projects, the business value we’re able to provide our customers is accelerating rapidly,” stated Jama Software chief executive officer Eric Winquist. “We are excited to work with Trinity and Madrona to amplify our focus on expanding our SaaS-based approach across the globe.”
