Jofi Joseph Fired Gets Fired By White House Over Insulting Tweets

Posted Oct 23, 2013

Jofi Joseph is a former White House national security that was fired for posting insulting tweets on Twitter about the Obama administration under an anonymous Twitter account.  Jofi Joseph was an expert for the National Security Council.  He was fired last week after it was discovered that he was the author for the @natsecwonk Twitter feed.  Joseph was on the team that worked on negotiations with Iran over the nuclear program and he said that he deeply regrets the tweets.

?It has been a privilege to serve in this administration and I deeply regret violating the trust and confidence placed in me,? stated Joseph in an interview with Politico. ?What started out as an intended parody account of D.C. culture developed over time into a series of inappropriate and mean-spirited comments. I bear complete responsibility for this affair and I sincerely apologize to everyone I insulted.?

Joseph has been using the Twitter alias over two years and took shots at high-ranking officials and Republicans as well.

In reference to the president’s senior adviser, one example is: ?I?m a fan of Obama, but his continuing reliance and dependence upon a vacuous cipher like Valerie Jarrett concerns me.?
