John McAfee Lands In Miami

Posted Dec 13, 2012

The John McAfee saga continues.  He was wanted for murder in Belize, but was able to escape to Guatemala.  He has now been deported from Guatemala to Miami, Florida.  His fate now rests in the hands of the relations between Belize and the United States.  The Belize government wants McAfee back there so he can be questioned for the murder of his neighbor there named Gregory Faull.

“Complying with migration law, Mr. John McAfee is to be deported to his country of origin,” stated a representative for Guatemala’s immigration office.  McAfee’s neighbor in Belize was killed by gunshots.  McAfee was not declared a suspect for the murder, but he was considered a “person of interest.”

McAfee left the country because he feared Belize authorities were after him for failing to pay bribes.  He was on the run for one month.  After petitioning for political asylum in Guatemala, he ended up being put in jail.  McAfee is happy to be back in Miami now.

“I’m just going to hang in Miami for a while. I like Miami,” said McAfee in an interview with Reuters. “There is a great sushi place there and I really like sushi.”
