Just-Eat is a UK based restaurant ordering service that has acquired a 60% stake in Achindra Online Marketing Pvt. Ltd. Achindra operates an online restaurant and orderings website HungryZone.com. Just Eat will be putting in about $5-$10 million in HungryZone.com.
Just Eat will increase their investment in HungryZone over the next 3 years. Just Eat will be providing their expertise to HungryZone as well as they have been successful in 10 countries so far.
HungryZone.com launched in Bangalore in 2006 by a group of IIT alumni. The website relaunched in May 2007 with a new user interface. HungryZone processes about 10,000 orders per month and has generated about $1 million in revenues for restaurants thus far.
