Just Fab is a fashion e-commerce company that raised $109 million. The company has filed a lawsuit against Fab.com, which is another fashion e-commerce company that raised around $321 million for trademark infringement because of a “confusingly similar” name. Just Fab’s lawsuit also includes unfair competition. Fab.com is going to fight the lawsuit.
?Our attorneys are currently reviewing the complaint,? stated a Fab.com spokesperson. ?While we are not in a position to comment with any specificity on the allegations we will aggressively defend our brand, products, and services offered to our customers worldwide.?
The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. Central District of California. The lawsuit requests that Fab.com should be prevented from selling any items that competes directly with JustFab.com.
Just Fab started off with the name Just Fabulous. The company did not have a problem with Fab.com when they were a social network, but the company turned into a discount e-commerce website in 2011, which is similar to Just Fab’s business model. Both Just Fab and Fab.com are expecting to hit around $250 million in revenues this year, according to TechCrunch.
