Kickstarter, the popular crowdfunding platform, has been hacked. Hackers found their way into the database and stole some information from users of the website. No credit card information was taken because the crowdfunding platform does not store the full numbers.
Hackers were able to gain access to usernames, e-mail addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and encrypted passwords though. It is recommend that you change your passwords if you are a Kickstarter user.
Kickstarter was notified about the breach by law enforcement officials on Wednesday. The officials closed the exploit that allowed the breach to occur and that the last few days were spent on what was accessed.
