Arriba Films, LLC has put together an indie film called “Ingenious.” Ingenious’ L.A. Premiere is taking place on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 7:30PM at the Grauman’s Chinese 6 Theater. Grauman’s Chinese 6 is part of the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA 90028. Ingenious is a film about perseverance and following your dreams on the screen and behind the scenes. Ingenious raised production money from the invention that inspired the film. The film was shot on 35mm in Tucson, Arizona and has an original track on Dolby Surround Sound composed by Arizona musician Howe Gelb. Arriba turned to Kickstarter to raise funding to help pay for costs connected with getting the movie into theaters like music rights, 35mm prints, local media advertising, and other marketing costs without interference from traditional Hollywood studios.
Ingenious was cast by award-winning casting director Ronnie Yeskel known for Pulp Fiction and The Sessions. The cast in the movie includes Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol, The Avengers, and The Town), Dallas Roberts (Walk The Line, 3:10 To Yuma, The Grey), Ayelet Zurer (Munich, Angels and Demons, and Man of Steel), Marguerite Moreau (The Runaway Jury), Eddie Jemison (Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve, and Oceans Thirteen), Richard Kind (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Judith Scott (Flight Plan and Fracture), and Amanda Anka (Taxi and Cherry Falls).
Ingenious has won Best Picture and Best Director awards. Ingenious has surpassed their $48,000 goal through 483 backers. Check out the trailer below:
