Megaupload founder Kim “Dotcom” Schmitz was arrested in January 2012 for running a website that hosted copyrighted movies and music. Schmitz allegedly knew about and encouraged copyrighted material. Despite being arrested and released on bail, Dotcom decided to launch a new company. The new company appears to be a cloud music service called Megabox in the form of an Android app, which promises “unlimited space for all your music.” The app has a music player, search, and a shop for purchasing digital content.
The major Record Labels thought Megabox is dead. Artists rejoice. It is coming and it will unchain you. instagr.am/p/MHNAsPMkep/
