Kiwi Raises $9 Million From Sequoia Capital, Omar Hamoui, and Charles Huang

is an Android mobile game developer that has raised $9 million from Sequoia Capital.  AdMob founder Omar Hamoui and Guitar Hero co-creator Charles Huang also contributed in this round.  All of the games that Kiwi has created are on Google Play’s Top 11 grossing games and have high ratings.

Kiwi founders Omar Siddiqui and Shvetank Jain previously started a company called Trippert Labs, which was acquired by Playdom in 2009. 

Omar Siddiqui and Shvetank Jain were responsible for spearheading the games Gardens of Time and City of Wonder while at Playdom.  The two of them started Kiwi in 2011.

Kiwi is known for launching the games Monsterama Park, Monsterama Planet, Brightwood Adventures, Hidden Object, Enemy Lines, and Shipwrecked.

Based in Palo Alto, Kiwi has 160 employes.  They also have an office in Bangalore, India.
