Kobo has announced several new devices on Tuesday. The new devices include the Kobo Arc 10HD, the Kobo Arc 7HD, the Kobo Arc 7, and the 6-inch reader with e-ink display called the Kobo Aura. These devices are heavily focused on reading.
When you log in, you will be shown a reading-focused screen called Reading Life. All of the content will be organized on virtual shelves. While in Reading Mode, the user will not be disturbed.
Kobo Arc 7
The Kobo Arc 7 is an entry-level device that has a 1024 x 600 display, MTK 8125 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and 1GB of RAM.
Kobo Arc 7HD
The Arc 7HD has an NVIDIA Tegra 3 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing HD camera, and a 1920 x 1200 display. The battery supports 8 hours. The 7HD sells for $200 (16GB) and $250 (32GB).
Kobo Arc 10HD
The Arc 10HD is a 10-inch high-definition display (2560×1600) with an An NVIDIA Tegra 4 1.8GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 1.3-megapixel front-facing HD camera, and dual stereo speakers. The battery should last around 10 days when in reading mode only. When used as a tablet, you can expect around 9.5 hours. The 10HD sells for around $400.
Kobo Aura E-Reader
The Aura E-Reader is a 6-inch tablet that will be available starting September 16 with a price of $150. The Aura has a 212 dpi display and 4GB storage (3,000 books). The storage can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.
