Facebook Being Blamed For Promoting Counterfeit NFL Jerseys

Facebook makes a bulk of their revenue from “Sponsored” advertisements.  An NFL merchandise retailer is proposing a class action lawsuit against Facebook for promoting alleged knock-off goods.  Based in New Mexico, Krystal’s NFL Shoppe said that many of Facebook’s display ads are actually Chinese knock-offs.  For example “Nike NFL Jerseys $21” and other ads appeared on Krystal’s Facebook Page.  Some people believe that Krystal was selling the knock-offs.  Krystal said in the lawsuit that counterfeit goods are using the credibility of legitimate merchandisers and Facebook to turn a profit.  Krystal is suing on behalf of all NFL merchandise makers.
