“Kung Fury” is a movie that is being crowdfunded through Kickstarter. Kung Fury is inspired by the senselessness and exaggeration that 80’s martial arts movies are known for.

Kung Fury needed $200,000 in funding to get made and it has already surpassed $264,000 with 27 days to go in the campaign. There is even some scenes that involve an NES Power Glove.

This movie stars David Sandberg as “Kung Fury”, Joanna Häggblom as “Viking Babe”, Leopold Nilsson as “Hacker Man”, Andreas Cahling as “Thor” and Per-Henrik Arvidius as “Chief.”

“If this Kickstarter campaign [sic] is successful, we will release this 30 minute film online, for free. We want everybody to be able to watch and enjoy this film. It is our dream to be able to expand this into a full feature film. And if we were to exceed our kickstarter goal that something we want to look into,” states the Kickstarter campaign.
