LanzaTech raises $60M

LanzaTech is a biofuel company that has raised $60 million in funding led by Mitsui & Co. of Japan. LanzaTech is known for capturing waste gas from factories and converting them into low-carbon fuels and chemicals with microorganisms.


LanzaTech will be using the funding to further develop its gas fermentation technology and expanding products.

The new investors in this round include CICC Growth Capital. Existing investors that participated in this round include Khosla Ventures, Qiming Venture Partners, K1W1 and the Malaysian Life Sciences Capital Fund.
