Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin highly benefited from Google’s stock price surpassing $1,000 on Friday. Google’s stock increased on Friday because of the positive financial results that Google reported on Thursday evening. The results beat Wall Street expectations.
When the stock price increased, it added $5.9 billion in the net worth of Google’s co-founders. Google CEO Larry Page is now worth $3 billion more and Sergey Brin is up $2.93 billion, according to the Forbes Real Time Billionaires Index.
As of September, Larry Page was worth $24.9 billion and Brin was at $24.4 billion. The stock price increase inches them closer towards the $30 billion mark.
