LG Display is working on some ambitious projects! LG is creating an 18-inch OLED panel, which can be rolled into a tube that is 3 centimeters across. The prototype has a resolution of 1200×810 and it has a new polyamide film on the back of the panel which gives the panel even more flexibility.
LG also build an OLED panel which has triple the transmittance of existing see-through LCD displays, according to Engadget. LG Display’s SVP and head of R&D In-Byung Kang said he is confident that by 2017 “we will successfully develop an Ultra HD flexible and transparent OLED panel of more than 60 inches.”
