LimeWire has agreed to pay music labels Sony Corp., Vivendi SA, Warner Music Group, and EMI Group $105 million to end a federal lawsuit over copyright infringement damages. U.S. District Judge Kamba Wood ruled that Lime Wire LLC had wrongfully assisted people into pirating digital recordings. “Lime Wire and its founder, Mark Gorton, are pleased that this case has concluded,” stated Lime Wire’s law firm Willkie, Farr & Gallagher.
