Lincoln Gets Rebranded As The Lincoln Motor Company

Posted Dec 4, 2012

Lincoln has been re-branded as the Lincoln Motor Company.  Lincoln is a subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company.  Lincoln was founded by Henry Leland in 1920 and it sold to ford after a couple years.  Before it was sold, the company was known as the Lincoln Ford Company.  Lincoln is known for developing luxury vehicles for Ford.

Lincoln is also rolling out a new generation of the MKZ sedan, which has a starting price of $35,925.  The MKZ features a push button transmission, panoramic glass roof, a split-wing grill, and a wider/longer body.  The popularity of Lincoln’s brand declined after Ford started selling other luxury cars from brands like Volvo.
