LinkedIn has announced that it has hit 300 million registered users, which is up from 277 million users at the beginning of the year. This means that LinkedIn added 6.6 million new users every month over the last 15 months.
LinkedIn does not share their “monthly active user” base like Twitter and Facebook does. Apparently, LinkedIn reports an engagement number produced by comScore to determine its active audience.
Around 50% of LinkedIn’s user traffic is expected to come through mobile devices by the end of 2014. Around 200 million of LinkedIn’s 300 million registered users are outside of the U.S.
LinkedIn and its subsidiary Slideshare received around 187 million unique monthly visitors in Q4, which was reported in its last earnings call. This number does not include LinkedIn’s unique mobile visitor count though.
