LinkedIn has launched a new feature called Showcase Pages for companies, which allows them to share content for a more focused audience. One example of how it was used is when Microsoft created a Showcase Page for Microsoft Office (screenshot below). The Showcase Pages can be followed by LinkedIn users.
LinkedIn believes that this will help brands start focusing content to more specific audiences. Businesses can create up to 10 Showcase Pages. Showcase Pages are different from Groups on the LinkedIn social network. LinkedIn has around 3 million Company Pages on the social network, but they did not reveal how many Showcase Pages will be added.
Yesterday LinkedIn also announced Talent Updates. This feature lets LinkedIn Recruiters post content to their company page directly from the recruiter dashboard.
