LiquiGlide is a product that was created by five students at M.I.T. and their professor. Professor Kripa Varanasi worked with students Dave Smith, Rajeev Dhiman, Adam Paxson, Brian Solomon, and Chris Love to create an edible plant-based coating that can be placed into any surface like glass, plastic, or ceramics.
Liquid products that come in contact with LiquiGlide will slide right off. It does not matter if it is rain on a jacket or mustard in a bottle. The team at M.I.T. won second place at MIT’s $100,000 Entrepreneurship Competition and their product was named one of Time’s Best Inventions of 2012. Check out a view of their demos below:
