The MakerBot Replicator 2X Dual-Color 3D Printer Is Coming In March For $2,799

MakerBot Industries is a Brooklyn, New York based company founded by Bre Pettis, Adam Mayer, and Zach Smith.  The company is focused on making 3D printers affordable for consumers.  At CES 2012 the company announced the Replicator and they followed that up with at CES 2013 with the Replicator 2X.

When the company launched the original Replicator, it was the first time that the company offered printing at two colors at once.  The Replicator 2X has a super flat heated build plate optimized for ABS, a re-engineered easy load extruder, six-sided enclosure for stabilized ABS cooling, and dual extrusion 3D printing.

The 2X started selling for $2,799 earlier this month and they will start shipping in March.
