Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley announced he would not be seeking a re-election. Chicago is the biggest city in America that does not have a mayoral term limit. Daley has been the mayor of Chicago since 1989. His term will be ending on May 16, 2011. Richard’s father Richard J. Daley was mayor of Chicago from 1955 to 1976.
