During the Golden Globe awards on Sunday, two of the winners thanked Megan Ellison (pictured above). Megan is the daughter of Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. Amy Adams of “American Hustle” and Spike Jonze of “Her” thanked Megan for her involvement in the films. Megan Ellison is a movie producer that backed both of the movies through her company Annapurna Pictures.
Megan Ellison first broke into the scene with “Zero Dark Thirty” in 2012. Her film career began with the Coen Brothers’ “True Grit.” “True Grit” was produced by Megan and her brother David Ellison.
David Ellison’s film company Skydance Productions oversaw the development of hit movies like Star Trek Into Darkness, World War Z, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, The Guilt Trip, and Jack Reacher.
David plans to eventually create Mission: Impossible 5 and Top Gun 2. Megan and David are also going to work together on a Terminator 5 movie as well.
