MessageMe Raises $10 Million In Funding

MessageMe is a company that lets you share your thoughts, emotions, and stories.  MessageMe gives you a way to connect and express yourself instantaneously and creatively.  When you download MessageMe, you can share your voice through music, videos, photos, drawing doodles, and location.  MessageMe can be downloaded on Google Play or the Apple App Store.  LittleInc Labs, the company that developed MessageMe, has raised $10 million in funding according to a regulatory filing.  MessageMe launched in March 2013 and they have hit around 1 million downloads after about a week.

MessageMe previously raised a $1.9 million seed round of funding from Andreessen Horowitz, True Ventures, Google Ventures, SV Angel, First Round Capital, Social+Capital Partnership, and  It is likely that many of these investors also participated in this round also. MessageMe competes against other messaging apps like Kik, WhatsApp, Line, Apple iMessage, BBM, Skype, etc.

Back in March, MessageMe reported that they are currently sending over 500 notifications per second worldwide.  Over 10 million doodles have been shared along with over 4 million songs on iTunes.
